Academy Classes

MBT’s Adaptive Dance program encourages integration into mainstream classes in ballet or other disciplines for ambulatory dancers with special needs ranging from developmental, orthopedic, cognitive, and behavioral impairments. One-on-one assistants are encouraged to join class with the student if needed. Funding for a one-on-one class assistant may also be available through a generous MBT donor if your family needs assistance. Please inquire for details.

Please contact the studio for more information or to register.

Studio Field Trips

MBT also offers a special “field trip” dance class designed for children with special needs. The class is tailored to meet the abilities and needs of the class members and includes typical elements of a beginning ballet class but progresses at a slower pace. Movement, musicality and self-expression are emphasized. Please call for more details and to schedule a field trip to MBT.

Students from the Adaptive Ballet program have performed in MBT’s The Nutcracker.
