MBT hosts an annual season-end Gala & Dance Concert to celebrate our students’ and faculty members’accomplishments, to raise funds, to acknowledge our donors and corporate sponsors, and most importantly to enjoy an evening of demonstrations and performances from all of our student class levels.  All students are given the opportunity to take the stage.  The professional Metropolitan Ballet Ensemble premiered at the first Gala & Dance Concert in May 2013.

Tentative Schedule of Events:

4:00 Cocktail reception, silent auction, and traditional 1920s jazz entertainment from the Flipray Quartet!

5:00: Dance Concert featuring MBT students, the Metropolitan Ballet Ensemble, and the finalists for this year’s student choreography competition.

During the concert: stay tuned for volunteer recognition and awards, and a special celebrity guest auctioneer will host a live auction and a reverse scholarship auction! More information to come! The winner of our student choreography contest will be announced at the end of the Concert!

7:15: Dinner served. DJ Dance Party Entertainment begins. Yearbook slideshow, photo booth, and selfie station are open.

7:15 – 10:00: Dinner, dessert, auction, raffles, party, and fun!

9:15-9:30: auction closes, party on!

10:00: – event concludes

Proceeds from this event support MBT’s Annual Fund, which supports scholarships, outreach/residency programs, production needs, and other operating needs. Through fundraising, MBT is able to maintain very competitive tuition rates, scholarship programs, and accessible ticket prices. MBT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts education organization. Donations are gratefully accepted and are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. MBT’s federal tax ID number is 52-1665250.

Ticket Information: Please call 301-762-1757 for tickets.  All Gala & Dance Concert tickets are all-inclusive: including performance ticket, dinner, beverages (open wine/beer bar for adults), and all gala entertainment and activities.

Adults @ $60 each
Students age 11-21 @ $30 each
Children age 10/under @ $25 each
MBT Alumni in college @ $30 each
MBT Alumni under 30 years old @ $35 each
