Current Openings for Faculty/Artistic Team:

Instructors:

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy is accepting applications for the 2019-2020 academic year for new faculty members. The genres of instruction include: Creative Movement (ages 3-4), Early Ballet (ages 5-6), Ballet (ages 7+), Pointe (ages 12+), Modern (ages 10+), Jazz (ages 8+), Hip Hop (ages 8+).

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre has locations in Gaithersburg, Maryland (exit 10 from I-270 north bound, exit 11 south bound) and Clarksburg, MD (exit 18 from I-270). Several off-site classes are also offered in nearby schools.

Current Openings in Administrative Team:

Program Assistant:

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy is accepting applications for a responsible, friendly, and creative Program Assistant to begin in Spring/Summer 2019.  This is a full-time position working up to 40 hours weekly, including evenings and weekend hours. Scheduled hours will include time at both MBT-Gaithersburg and MBT-Clarksburg. MBT’s Program Assistants serve as front-facing members of the team to parents, students, and patrons. Opportunities to learn new skills, wear many hats, and be part of a growing team are outlined in the attached job description.  This is a perfect position to start your career in arts administration, or to try gain new skills as you grow your career in arts administration.  If you are a dancer, and looking to expand your career into arts administration, this position could also be for you!

Seasonal Marketing Assistant:

Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy is accepting applications for a responsible, friendly, and outgoing individual to represent MBT at spring/summer community marketing events.  This is a temporary, part-time, hourly position working primarily some evenings/weekends through the spring/summer.  The Seasonal Marketing Assistant is a front-facing member of the team to parents, students, and patrons. Opportunities to learn new skills, wear many hats, and be part of a growing team are available, as is opportunity for growth into a full-time position.  Experience with children is preferred.
